Poachers and Porringer

The Porringer is designed to cook delicate sauces. The lower saucepan envelopes the upper saucepan in water thereby maintaining an even temperature to prevent the burning or curdling of sauces and custards and avoiding the burning of food such as scrambled egg. This set includes a 16cm saucepan with a thick encapsulated base and a toughened glass lid with steam vent plus a 14cm insert with a rounded bottom and cool touch stainless steel handle.
